Salary: $60,000 with benefits (medical, dental, vision, PTO, holidays, and CE funds)
Overview
HealthSource of Ohio is seeking 2 Postdoctoral Fellows in Primary Care Behavioral Health to join our integrated care team within a large federally qualified health center (FQHC). Fellows function as Behavioral Health Consultants (BHCs) embedded in primary care settings providing same-day behavioral health consultations, brief interventions, and team-based care to patients across the lifespan.
This fellowship offers training in the Primary Care Behavioral Health (PCBH) model, with a focus on developing advanced competencies in integrated clinical practice, interprofessional collaboration, and population-based care. Fellows receive weekly supervision from licensed psychologists, participate in didactic training, provide consultation and education to medical residents, and complete a quality improvement project aligned with their professional goals. Key Responsibilities
Deliver brief, evidence-based behavioral health interventions within primary care clinics (family medicine, pediatrics, or women’s health)
Provide same-day consultation for a wide range of behavioral, emotional, and health-related concerns
Partner with medical providers, nursing staff, and other team members to promote whole-person, patient-centered care
Participate in weekly individual and group supervision, didactic, and other training activities
Contribute to program development through interdisciplinary learning activities (e.g., Balint groups, resident education)
Complete a scholarly or quality-improvement project under supervision
Provide limited umbrella supervision to behavioral health trainees
Requirements
Required Qualifications
Doctoral degree (PhD or PsyD) in Clinical Psychology
Completion of a Predoctoral internship
Demonstrated interest in integrated primary care behavioral health and working with diverse or underserved populations
Strong clinical, consultation, and teamwork skills
Eligibility for employment in the U.S. and ability to work full-time in Ohio
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in primary care utilizing the PCBH model
Familiarity with brief, evidence-based interventions (e.g., FACT, ACT, or Motivational Interviewing)
Experience with program development, supervision, or interdisciplinary collaboration
