R154095 Mental Health Therapist -Adjunctive (Open)How You'll Help Transform Healthcare:
Provides therapeutic services to patients from child to adult. Services include provision of initial assessment, individual and adjunctive group therapy. Works as a member of the multidisciplinary team.Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Assesses patient's need for non-medical services within the parameters of the treatment plan. Works as a member of the multidisciplinary treatment team.
- Provides adjunctive therapy modalities to individuals and groups on the inpatient unit. .
- Develops and maintains therapeutic relationships with patients in the inpatient setting.
- Coordinates the patient's adjunctive therapy treatment with the multidisciplinary treatment team, patient's and others as appropriate.
- Records patient data in the medical record to include the leisure assessment, group and individual progress notes and other plans of care as appropriate for the patient.
- Works cooperatively with other members of the adjunctive mental health therapy and treatment team, provides coverage and arranges coverage when needed.
- Attends in-service and continuing education activities to comply with the system requirements and to maintain up-to-date licensure/certification specific to the role.

What We Require:
Education: Bachelor's degree required.
Experience: none
Licensure, certification, and/or registration: Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist eligible, Registered Art Therapist eligible, Or Board-Certified Music Therapist
Other Minimum Qualifications: Effective interpersonal, communication and teamwork skills required. Demonstrates knowledge of therapeutic interventions suited for inpatient and outpatient psychiatric patients. Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of life span growth and development and assesses data reflective of the patient's status.
